Our Pou (Core Values)

Manaakitanga (Respect through Hospitality)

We design with care.

Manaakitanga means generosity, uplift, and shared responsibility. It governs how we host, no matter whether we are players, collaborators, or future communities. In our platforms, manaakitanga means building systems that include. We cannot and do not justify exclusion of other cultures in order to elevate our own. Doing so would make us guilty of the same behaviors we are dedicated to not repeat.  Our aim is to empower, not control.

Mana Motuhake (Self Determination)

We build with sovereignty.

Mana Motuhake is about independence, integrity, and cultural self-determination. Tumeke was not built to replicate legacy systems or repackage old ideas. It exists to challenge them, to offer alternatives that honor Indigenous agency. We define our own boundaries and protect our own forms.

Te Wairua Auaha (Creativity)

Through Creation We Share Culture.

Te Wairua Auaha reflects our mission to create with intention, heritage, and thoughtfulness. It is the driving force behind every story, design, and system we develop. Creativity is not just a skill; it is part of the legacy that makes us all human. In today’s fast-changing world driven by technology and disruption, Te Wairua Auaha reminds us that innovation should serve a clear purpose. It reminds us that every creative effort should respect and build upon our cultural foundation, and value, and how those are shared with the world.
