To practice Tiaki is not to turn away from power. It is to choose balance. It is to act with guardianship toward the land, its memory, and the lives entwined within it. It is a path of accountability, not of control.
The forces of Extraction offer dominance and wealth, but at a cost that echoes through every living system. The forces of Tiaki demand resilience, restraint, and relationships that extend beyond the self.
There is no fixed path. No single choice.
Every action a player takes. What they protect, what they exploit, what they leave behind, it draws them closer to Extraction or Tiaki. Or it leaves them walking between, in the uncertain spaces where survival itself can corrupt the best of intentions.
The world remembers. In Errata, every choice carries consequence.
